   Never heard of anyone that cut themselves waxing.

   This entire blog is not tzanua, ever noticed how these topics get the most hits and replies?

   Phil, you are oblivious to life.

   Waxing can (and does) rip out skin, sometimes causing bleeding.

   Even when no skin-tearing occurs, waxing is an incredibly painful/expensive procedure that exists to remove an important sign of sexual maturity from women.

   Do you get your balls waxed for your wife, Phil?

   Let this be the last word on a ridiculous 'halacha' that women must get waxed.

   No one said women must do so, Gittin said it was grounds for divorce once upon a time.

   I must admit I've never tried waxing, it's also against halacha for men to do so according to most opinions, it falls under the category of lo tilbash.

   Y'all have an easy fast, chasima tova, etc.

   Oh, so women are under no actual obligation to shave/wax, but if they choose not to, then their husbands can divorce them. What kind of a choice is that?

   And Phil, why do you frequent this blog/forum if the whole thing is not tzanua?

   I don't think the divorce option is in use or enforced these days, I was just pointing out that it wasn't only porn stars that did so.

   As for the blog, I frequent it for the same reason we all do: it's funny. If the talmud has no problem discussing these issues, nor do I. It's not like there are untznius pics here...

    They're fine, thanks. Off for a couple weeks with their Texan cousins in town, the river is fluid, seems like some fishing coming up.
