Nothing unusual, how was yours?

I hardly missed any shul the first day; then the "allergies" I had turned out to be the start of a nasty flu.
As such, I now haven't heard tekias shofar since Yom Kippur last year. :(
The food and company were wonderful, though: fish tail roast with side dishes one meal, mushroom barley soup another meal, roasted turkey and a bazillion side dishes another, et cetera. I also had some spiritual moments, and I'm proud to say that while I didn't fast today (I never fast while ill), I did daven Shacharis this morning. And I haven't davened Shacharis on a non-yom tov or Shabbos in I don't know how long. The extra additions during the Amida were helpful to me.

Funny or interesting? Well...my aunt and uncle decided to hold endless conversations with my cousin about the fact that she's not married yet (she's 32). That was slightly awkward for all of us. Aside from that, though, I really enjoyed the holiday. It's always nice to be with family, idiosyncrasies and all.

I did not keep Rosh Hashana,
But I did go to Family for dinner. (they are chassidic) and I was attacked for wanting a dog over kids at this point in life. and for 3 hours I had to explain to them why someone wouldn't wanna get married yet at the age of 24. and how ridiculous it is that I wanna wait another 5 to 10 Years.
I did go to Temple for Shofer just to try it. But I felt soo out of place that I am starting to think I am not really Jewish...

I was in the Old City, which is part of why I have not been on here much recently.. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..
