Was that a Mitch Hedberg reference I heard there?

Wouldn’t Wolfenstein be more popular in a Jewish setting since you get to kill Nazis?

I saw it.

Hesh: I think basketball must be the #1 sport played in yeshivas.I know you mentioned it, but almost as an afterthought.

I think it depends on the size and climate of the Yeshiva. Smaller, colder, yeshivas couldn’t afford their own gyms, but table tennis can be played on the yeshiva dining room tables. (Plus, with the twist on nets, was highly portable.)
Basketball is very yeshivish because you only needed a ball and a basket to play and yet could accommodate up to a minyan of guys if needed.

I would think that LO meant the sexual release needed from not having the opportunity to play “football” (or “footsie” ) for that matter, with the shaineh maidelach of BY.

Besides Basketball, I hear Pool (or “Billiards” as “Pool” suggests untznius-ness) is very popular in Yeshivos… maybe more in Erezt Yisroel?

Kugelach was in elementary school, high school was soccer or baseball, beis hamedrash became basketball in the day, shesh besh at night.

Phil – shesh besh, really? I thought it was supposed to be shach-mat. At least, that’s how the saying goes, “In yeshivas it’s Shach-Taz by day, shach-mat by night”.
