niturei karta five townsThere was an article posted on VIN from the Jewish Star (which seems to be one of the better Jewish weeklies in the New York area) yesterday that was calling for the boycott of folks who support the Niturei Karta Rabbis.

“Having a beard and black hat is no longer enough – there should be midos and ahavas yisroel as well.”

Its comments like these that make me feel like I’m doing a service for the frum community…

I hate to break it to him, but having just a beard and a black hat was never “enough”!

If you’re interested, since you obviously didn’t read the article, it actually has absolutely nothing to do with NK. It has to do with the fundraising trip the two Toldos Rebbeim are on in the US at the moment.

The comment is retarded but you knew that already.

Before you get to either beard/hat or ahavas Yisroel/middos, there needs to be yiras Shomayim. A person needs to spend at least a minute a day thinking about G-d, not his community, his own needs, his culture, blah-blah-blah…

Comment 7 from today’s post on women learning gemara: “A women once wakled into Reb Shach Zet’l and asked him a question in learning, so he responded by asking her; “do you know how to make a good kugle” meaning that that is ™he womens job, to cook, clean, take care of the kids, and look nice for her husband. The mans job is to learn and work.”
