You forgot to mention the older singles marriage:

Guy and girl get married (early 40's to mid 50's).

Guy is grossed out by girl when he sees her without clothes. Can't perform. The question is: If seeing her without clothes is a major turnoff, is he forbidden to see her when she is a niddah? At what point should he give up and divorce her or should she divorce him? How likely is it that he'll find someone who is attractive at this late stage of the game?

Damn, that's a tough call because I haven't been to any of those seminaries as listed above thus making it difficult for me to fit in either category. I guess all I can say is I'm thankful to be engaged so I don't have to worry myself sick every night about which type of guy to go out with. If I had to do it again ( which I hope to G-d I won't since there are so many engagements and marriages I'm willing to go through ), I would probably go for the all American guy ( my fiance is a self proclaimed redneck which is American as anyone could get ). I think I would pass up on the shadchanim since none of them appeal to me. All I could do is lend my sympathy to you poor suckers out there in the so called shidduch parshah. Yes it sucks and its not something I want to relive, no offense.

How bout the 5-towner.

Yeshivos - no, actually "high-schools": DRS, HALB, HASC, HANC, Frisch

Appearance (assuming they didnt frum out): Wouldn't be caught dead wearing a white shirt. Typically a button down colored shirt (not starched - but more like the aeropostale or abercrombie styles). Perhaps a zipper hoodie over it - especially if they are athletic - then it would have their team logo. Often its a cutesy sweatshirt from their Israel school. More often than not, they are untucked. Shoes are usually the new balance type sneakers from the 60s. Their kippah/yarmulkah is probably black knit - but they probably still have their their new york knicks and rangers colorful ones somewhere in their sock drawer.
Now they don't actually always go out on "dates" but more informal meetings with "friends" - although this can be called a date as well. If it is, then they will wear a colored shirt and a nice cashmere-type sweater. With brown shoes. Always the brown shoes.

Background: Grew up in the 5-towns. Heard about all the wife-swapping stories - either was part of the conversation or denies that it ever existed. Played something on their high-school team - and whatever it was, that's all they talked about on shabbos in shul - in fact its all everyone talked about. Period. Although, they would only go to shul on shabbos if they woke up on time.
Was always dressing to impress the girls in school. Was definitely a boyfriend to someone. Decided to go to Israel because it was the cool thing to do. Isreal Beis Medrash that they attended: no, actually post-high school programs: OJ, Ner Jake (not anymore), Shalhavim, HaKotel, Netiv. Came back (again assuming not frummed out) amd went to YU OR Queens College.

On Date: Will definitely talk about shared friends. Probably some Israel Yehiva rivalries as well. Or the time they met in ben-yehuda or the time they almost-met-at-that-concert-in-israel but ended up not going because their Rabbi busted them. Theres actually a good chance they have been going out for years already (dating back to that day in 9th grade when she threw him that flirtatious line).
