Heshy is just being honest. Straight men are going to notice women wearing short skirts. And women who choose to wear short skirts should realize that it’s gonna happen.

And I would put good money on the bet that for everyone like Heshy that admits he was checking out the ladies at this high-falutin’ cerebral convention, there are like 20 non-Yeshivish, sensitive male ROIers who were doing EXACTLY the same thing but would never admit it for fear of the politically correct police out there.

Personally, as a girl, I find Heshy’s take refreshing. I noticed he didn’t agree with everything at ROI — the coed hand-holding, the non-tznua performers. But even when he disagrees with something, at least he doesn’t do it in a stuck-up, judgmental way that basically shuts down the conversation. It makes me think. And I respect that.

ROIette, I am here because someone convinced me that I was actually doing something with this blog like open up dialogue between communities that never talk to each other. 50,000 people a month visiting aint too shabby either way, maybe if you read a little more into what I do, you would not be so judgmental.

you pretty much summed up the kfar maccabiah well. great variety of food. desserts are not worth it. lots of nice pools full of old folks – are the water slides open yet? i got a great massage at the spa.

The odds of Heshy getting laid at our conference are next to nil. Heshy may have an abiding interest in our anatomy but we’re less than likely to allow a pale, awkward Yeshivish “comedian” anywhere near our soft, milky shadayim. Besides, most of us are actually here to, you know, do good stuff for the Jewish world. I actually have no idea why Heshy is here. Is it because he’s funny? Maybe in Lakewood his shtick passes for funny. I’m not even annoyed or offended. I’m just bored. Kindly go off and follow in the ways of Onan. I suppose that’s what you do anyway.

You did warn me that your approach would be cynical and critical, which I told you I didn’t mind – we’re trying to hear people’s opinions, not whitewash experiences. You did actually neglect to mention that you might make “non-politically correct comments about the physique of the chicks, er, I mean young ladies in attendance,” but you’ve certainly clarified that with this post.

On a related note, I’m warning all ROIers to stay away from car doors, alley ways, and trees.
