They run with their heads down like because they are running to do mitzvos.
A total gentile girl at my old job asked me, “what’s the difference between the different car buffers they wear on their heads? You have the big car buffers and the little car buffers.”
a few shabbosim ago, it was a really windy day, all the bochurim were walking with their brims down. except one boy. he was just walking like there wasnt any thing going on. next second, he is running like the wind holding his yarmulka on his head after his hat ~which was actually gaining altitude!
but wait, it gets better- the hat finally starts coming down and when it finaly does, it lands in the dumpster by the yeshiva. . i couldnt stay and watch, but i heard that after shabbos, he went in to try and fish it out. -but i dont know if he found it.
Anonymous – that’s because brimmed hat are not entirely wind-resistant to begin with. But the downed brim is significantly more wind-resistant than the up-hats.

Stop being so funny! I’m losing sleep looking at your videos in the middle of the night!
Your observations are so hilarious

Sorry bud, but you’re wrong on the black hat thing. They’re more wind-resistant with the brim up.
Nemo black hats with the brim up always fly off my head
